Handcrafted 1084 High-Carbon Skinner
Built for the field and designed with plenty of character, this handcrafted skinner combines rugged forging texture with detailed finishing and comfortable handling.
This skinner is forged from 1084 high-carbon steel, with the natural forge-finish texture intentionally left on the blade to showcase the character of the forging process.
The handle is constructed from a layered wood laminate in gray, black, and natural tan, creating a distinctive layered appearance that pairs beautifully with the dark forge finish of the blade. Stainless steel pins secure the handle scales.
Adding even more character to the knife is the decorative file work running all the way around the tang. The spine and finger choil have both been carefully smoothed and rounded, eliminating sharp edges that could catch or dig into your hand during use. The only intentionally sharp edge is the cutting edge itself.
A sharpening choil has also been incorporated into the blade, making it easier to maintain the edge and giving the blade a clean transition into the cutting edge.
